TierSphere
Accessibility
TierSphere is used by students, families and school staff, and a person who cannot use it is a person we have failed. This page says what we are aiming for, where we actually are, and how to tell us when we have got it wrong.
The standard we are working toward
Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.
Where we are today
We are working toward that target and have not completed a full audit against it. We are not in a position to state a conformance level, and we would rather say so than imply one. When the audit is done we will publish what it found, including the parts we have not yet fixed.
Known issues
These are the barriers we already know about. The list is not complete, and it will grow before it shrinks — that is what an honest audit does.
- Our brand green does not meet the AA contrast minimum when used as a background behind white text. We have a darker action green for buttons and filled controls, but the brand green still appears as a fill in places we have not yet corrected.
- We have not audited every screen. Older parts of the product are more likely to have problems than newer ones.
Tell us when something blocks you
If any part of TierSphere stops you from doing something, email help@tiersphere.com. Tell us the page and what you were trying to do, and whether you use a screen reader, keyboard navigation, magnification or another assistive technology. We will reply, and we will tell you honestly whether and when we can fix it.
